Wow! That is the first word that comes to my mind. I've been sitting here for 2 hours reading through this entire website and I am truly amazed with Debi's story. Debi, all I can say to you is that you are a miracle. I am a paramedic and have seen some pretty ill patients. From reading how sick you were, to reading how wonderful you are doing now, it is truly a miracle. Nick, you are an amazing person with a wonderful heart for being there for your wife and doing all that you've done. There are no words to describe how wonderful you seem to be. You are both very lucky to have each other. As a fellow diehard Bon Jovi fan, I understand how powerful their music is and what an impact it can have. Unfortuantely I did not read of your story earlier to have you in my prayers but better late that never. I only wish I lived closer to you as I would offer any help I could. You've all been through so much and I just wish I could help somehow, but you are definitely in my thoughts and prayers. I feel like I know you just from reading this.

Dear Debi, I just wanted to send Love once more from your family up on the central coast. Also to tell you that I have come across a lead that could help motivate Kaiser to do the right thing and give you what you need to continue your fight for recovery. It appears to be a strong avenue for helping Nick with finances and equipment for your physical and occupational therapy. Course, nothing is written in stone, as we all know, and huge HMO's will duck and swerve to avoid their admitted responsibility but I think they are finding out that you are generating a huge following and soon they will be forced to "stand up". The American people are finally noticing exactly what is happening here and before long we will join arm and arm to bring down this house of cards called "corporate medicine". We will find the Achilles heel and I am sensing we may have done already. So, hang in there, sweetie... remember that you are Loved...As is Nick, Johnny and Kristina!

A few years ago my brother was given just 10% chance of survival. He had Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. We are a very close family as you seem to be so our family was devastated.
While a lot of people dwelled on the oh no's and what ifs my brother stayed strong. When ever my mother was upset and crying he would say "don't worry I'm not going anywhere I'm not ready yet I still have so much to do"
His strength gave us strength and he is alive and well today. The doctors said it could only have been his positive attitude that made the difference.
Please stay strong and positive particually when things look bad. Enjoy and take heart from every small improvement as they all add up to the happy ending.
From far away I wish you all the good the world can bring. You will be stronger for all the battles you face.
